The general layout of the Gallery Index page ("Photos") is in the design phase.

I plan on accepting photos with dimensions between 500 and 800 pixels (width or height).
The server software will resample larger photos down to 800 pixels, and thumbnails (for the Gallery index) will be automatically generated.

Great Mark, how long before we can start submitting photos??? Will you be accepting all categories at any time or doing individual categories, one at one time?
Hope I'm not being a pain, just curious and anxious :-)
BTW, I love your photo of the driftwood, excellent!

I had to do three post on the TC to make sure I had this right... is the submit button here on the right and the preview on the left??
Could they be switched around to match with the TC...

It will be one to two weeks before the Gallery upload software is in place. At that time, all the categories will be open.

Hey Mark, I have a suggestion. Is there a way we can have our photos that are submitted be displayed under our profiles. Almost like TC has your "blog" photos appear on the left. I just think it would be kind of nice when getting to know the other members you could click on something that would show their "gallery". I really don't know if it is possible but it would be a nice addition.

Yes, that is certainly possible. I'll set it up so you can go to "Edit My Member Info" and choose a current photo from any that you have on display (it will be a very small thumbnail, of course).
I'll post here when it's done.

Members who have uploaded photo(s) to the Gallery can now choose any of their photos to accompany a forum message.
Just click on the "Edit my member info" link at top right and you see a selection of photos at the bottom of the edit form.
Note that only messages posted AFTER you edit your member info will have the thumbnail.
