All the photos uploaded here are "JPEG" images, which is a format that allows variable compression to reduce the file size. If compression is set too high, there will be visible artifacts that degrade the image.
Below is a portion of your "Old Mill" photo where I've circled and enlarged some artifacts - they look like squiggly lines around areas of high contrast.
What's a bit unusual is that your image file is large enough (about 190Kb) that this type of JPEG artifact shouldn't be that visible, which suggests that your camera may have been set to lower quality JPEG (higher compression), or your photo processing program overly compressed somewhere along the way to uploading.
Properly managing digital photos to maintain quality is a bit of black art, but we can help you sort it out.
