| Light writing-try for fun
I seen a tutorial online months ago and thought I'd give it a try for fun this week.Just sharing what I came up with here.Anyone else want to try it for fun and post theirs would be great. I put my camera in shutter priority mode and set my exposure to 8 sec F3.5 (aperture could be higher) ISO 100. I then turned out the lights and drew in the dark with a green LED light stick. You could also use a small flashlight to draw with. Here is the results after a bit of post processing. Cropped, resized, adjusted color hue and saturation to get the green and blue light effect to look orange and pink.Thats it.

Forgot to add that I set my delay timer to 2 sec. so I could get in front of the camera before the shutter went off.Adjust your manual focus to get better results than what I got.My image could be sharper.

Nice! But we want to see the artist!
Do that same light-writing, and then shoot a double-exposure (using the self-timer) with you holding the wand in mid-air. You'll need to add some room light so we can see you in the dark, of course.
Now, I know this is easy to do in Photoshop using two separate images, but you should try it the hard way :-)
(If your camera supports slow-sync or rear-curtain flash, you can do this in ONE shot, though you'll need very careful timing...)

Double exposure-two images combined in camera.Flash fired at the beginning of exposure. Manual 6 sec F8.0 ISO 100, Nikon D80 18 20mm lens. Cropped, sharpened and adjusted contrast and flipped image in PS.

Very cool! Do I see TWO artists at work here?
My only critique would be those blinds in the background that make y'all look like ghosts :-)
Ideally you need a pitch black background to avoid any transparency in the subject(s).
Great job!

I should have put up a sheet or had a plain wall behind me yes. I did like the ghost look about it. I've never tried the double exposure on my camera so this was a fun experiment you suggusted. Thanks
