Artist Notes:	This is Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau, Alaska. We have been there 3 times and have never seen it on a sunny day. It still is beautiful even without the sun. The only way to get real close is by a canoe or kayak. It is an amazing site.

• Great shot of the glacier and you even included a person in the distance to establish scale. It's a little underexposed but some levels adjustment will bring out more shadow detail in the hillside at right. [by mv on Jul 4 2007]
